Juliette Hogan Solo Show N.Z.F.W. 2012
With 25 models hitting the runway there was no standing room to view a collection that any women would love to own, with my favorite being the Scarlet Orange flowing floor length Alcra Dress and the long sleeved see through lace, pinched in at the waist Skater Dress.

Her tailored garments will appeal to many females looking for a complete look or as practical classic staple pieces that are great to mix and match.
The cuts work with the female line and to the extroverted may look basic on the rack but once you slip that baby on the cut molds with the feminine form and hugs in all the right places along with quality fabrics and textures making the wearer feel chic but sexy as you wear the clothes the clothes do not wear you.
Juliette’s signature style is for the women who can stand out confidently in sophisticated style without looking like they are trying, isn’t that every women’s goal? With the colour palettes in each collection working in well with the last seasons purchases, and this years N.Z.F.W. show will be keeping her on the top list of many buyers. Also featuring nude woolen jackets and pants, complemented with Glimmer Singlets in black Twilight sequins, Nude, navy and black skirts and dresses tailored with black side paneling which is an optical illusion that cuts the figure down to make the wearer look slimmer, it is not new but it is a technique that works and my money is on these pieces selling out first.

A floral quilted jacket teamed with Velveteen black and a black Esme T top popped on the catwalk and another standout was the black fake fur Queenie Jacket over a black lace Skater Dress.

With a degree in textiles Juliette has received mentoring from Chris and Helen Cherry, a scholarship to Parsons School of Design in N.Y.C. while also completing an internship with Rebecca Taylor’s design team. Juliette Hogan opened her flagship store in Auckland in 2007 and with her second store opening in Auckland’s Britomart in December 2012 she will further become part of a fashion family that is the backbone of the NZ fashion community.
